    I take it you're not smiling in your profile pic because of things like this. 😂 I got one with 52,000 miles with a leaking evaporator core in the shop, coming back to it half-torn apart on a Monday. Thank you for this video 🙏🏻

    All you have to do is put a floor jack under the A frame a jack it up to remove the shock and then slowly lower the hack a lot easier and quicker

    What is that "CAN BUS sniffer"? Are they used with IDS and the like? Also, did you actually remove all the wheels from the shop? I feel like grabbing some broken TPMS's you have laying around (or am I the only one who keeps physically broken TPMS sensors for diag?) and training those..... You know where I'm going...

    • @TechnicianRed
      @TechnicianRed День назад

      A CAN bus sniffer gives you a list of all of the network messages in chronological order and gives you the module ID which can be used to identify which module sent the message. And yes, I simply removed all 5 tires and moved them out of the shop far far away.

    • @TechnicianRed
      @TechnicianRed День назад

      And unfortunately I don't have any TPMS sensors laying around so I couldn't just learn some other sensors to see if the problem went away.

  • @commonsenseisdeadin2024
    @commonsenseisdeadin2024 День назад

    Any codes for the solenoid? Another thought is oil pressure is bypassing the valve or crossbleeding so it's always pressurizing the lock pin "pathway". Check the vanes or lobes well, those phasers can be tricky as the oil "adheres" 2 machined faces together so it could be broken off but it will still stay in place making you none the wiser! (Seen it on a Toyota but the only issue I have dealt with GM variable timing is the solenoids....... A LOT!)

    Why dont you use the lift truck enough to use a jack under the lower control arm slowly letting it down decompressing the spring. The only spring that can not be taken off safely without spring compressor are struts

    Unfortunatly you are not completing the service. You are supposed to use two bottles on cars that has neven been cleaned before. Therefor you are only doing half the service. You are also using the old VIA tool, and not the new and improved Platinum tool, which is a lot more efficient. New video please!

    • @TechnicianRed
      @TechnicianRed 4 дня назад

      You sure about that? BG used to have smaller GDI intake cleaning cans that required 2 cans to fill up the VIA tool. Now they sell it in a large bottle and a single bottle will fill up the VIA tool. Our BG rep didn't mention anything about using two of these newer large bottles for one cleaning service.

    You can also evaluate the noise, is it an oscilating or linear. But youve shown something very important, that things should be tested in their operating positions. If the vehicle was on a lift hanging free....it may be dead silent.

    Looks to me that the ball joints have grease fittings. Someone is not doing their job. The grease fittings are there to prolong the life of the ball joint. Today’s cars don’t have grease fittings on them. You have to buy another part which doesn’t have a grease fitting on it either. I use a cattle syringe and heavy duty needle you can inject it into the boot which is rubber. Put a little caulking on it to seal water and grime out.

    Great recovery method but watch out for air voids when inserting your rods. The best method is to wet set your bent/heavily washered anchor rods in concrete, right from jumpstreet. Making a plywood template with your desired bolt pattern is key.

    I'm glad you called a name brand out! I've been calling out my snapon and Mac guys for years!.. Example.. Mac tools and harbor freight snap ring plies are exactly the same, same case, same everything. I put them side by side In the Mac truck! I spend 1000s a year on tools for 20+years. Snapon, Mac, matco.. Their are very few manufacturers that make these tools. And believe it or not harbor freight has stepped their game up and make alot of American tools. Do your research.. Don't believe me.

    I guess I didn't see the whole video here's another tip on removing the anchors an old professional showed me the other way just widens the hole this way the whole stays the same size all you do is push the rod deeper into the hole it won't hurt anything and the epoxy should get deeper the deeper you push the old stud this is not going to hurt anything and it's going to save a lot of time and the size of that anchor hole😮😮😮😮😮

    Cheap Hydraulics 39 years this epoxy I've used but I've used an anchor with it it's oversized you get it underneath the concrete with the epoxy also this epoxy needs to be tested for at least 20 years before I would use just threaded anchors am I work for a a couple of years would I wouldn't put it on all of my anchors also you should check the type of concrete you have and also check if your floor is balanced you might need wedges underneath your anchors to balance it right any questions just call
